Get some pizza out of the deal, heck, make Jason get all the food he has for some of the events, that's worth the trip alone.

Between 9am & 4pm you can pretty much just walk in. If you'd like Wayne to get you all set up for a good listen just give him a call and give him a general time you'll be there. 310-534-9900 or Wayne@thesourceav.com

I'm far more likely to slap a Hugo 2 onto the Cavalli Carbon decendant and want the Spark to feature a DAC for portability.

None of the amps feature a DAC and Jason walked back his DAC comment already saying it was "in the idea phase right now".  I'm sure if and when a DAC ever happens, they'll probably put it in everything, at least as an option.

I'm not walking back, I'm indicating it's not a product that will be here soon. Alex is working on a DAC program for future generations of Cavalli amps. It will take time and should be expected in generations after this current coming release.

Even though my QP1R drives most of my headphones very well it is so much better with the Spark in the mix Cavalli sound on the go.

Well, the Fulla isn't being produced anymore, although I bet there are still plenty available. The Fulla 2 is a much different design. I haven't heard it, but I like the Fulla. It drives the 400i no problem, but the sound is better with the Magni/Modi 2 U stack. The instrument separation is better and the overall sound is better. Again, though, I can't speak for the Fulla 2, which I might have bought if I didn't already have the M/M stack.

My only experience with Sennheisers are the HD 558 that I have; they were my very first quality headphones. Not a lot of clarity or depth to the sound, but an awesome soundstage.

I've always read that while you want to keep the headphones in range of the quality of the dac/amp, you should buy the best headphones and have adequate amping rather than the other way around.

I tend to be a low/mid-fi guy, I'll get new in ear monitors and headphones, but I stick to inexpensive stuff that punches above its weight class. I literally may never upgrade my Hifimans or Schiit stack, I like them so much.

To be honest, I think I agree with you pretty much in regards to your whole post.  I probably will still end up getting the Modi/Magni stack (2 or 3 or whatever number they are on by the time I do get the stack), since it seems like it's worth the extra money than the Fulla, since the Modi/Magni I've heard can run almost any headphone outside of insanely high-end ones that I probably won't ever buy.  I agree that some people do tend to overrate the amp, and that you should get the best headphone possible and then a DECENT amp, but maybe not a $1,000+ amp, unless, again, you're playing with multiple-thousand-dollar headphones, which people like you and I probably won't ever.

I'm sure the Magni/Modi stack can run HiFiMan HE-560s or maybe even HE-1000s pretty decently, or the Sennheiser equivalent (HD600/650/700).  Yeah, maybe it won't power the HD800 that well (although maybe it does, for all I know) or the Abyss or a headphone like that, but the odds of me getting a headphone like that anytime soon are probably pretty low.  I'm sure it powers most headphones I'd be willing to buy for the next few years.
