Yes! That's the way to do it!!
Your ears and R10 will thank you for getting such a nice table. I wish I'd heard my old R10 with vinyl The Qualia, HD650, and L3000 are getting along with it quite excellently!

Hmm, my TT setup isn't quite optimal for the cart's compliance either, but it's close enough that it doesn't seem to matter a bit. My arm, at about 22 grams effective, is on the heavy side for most modern carts like Dynavectors and Benz Micros.

the P3 has been feeding the R10 with a VERY solid stream of audible pleasure. and yes, the R10 LOVES the vinyl like a fat kid loves cake!

after my research it seems that it is more of a chance of a risk if certain key things are out of spec. the jmw9/dl-130 seems safe for anything BUT deeeep organ music.

on a more positive note, i just craigslisted 1000 DJ records away, and craigslisted 300 rock/jazz records in. the new batch looks MUCH more promising for what i like anyways. i can now play $0.007 records on a $2000 turntable. it will probably sound pretty good too.

as another point, i bought MORE 78's with this buy, so i am now FORCED to buy the 33/45/78 spindle for the vpi, and a grado "78" cart. i think it will go well after calling VPI and asking about the "78rpm spindle" with fears of a price like their upgrade platters i was rewarded with a reasonable price quote and that they have them in stock. not a bad day at all. i was curious why they dont make JUST a 78rpm spindle that you swapped out with a wider speed range (78 was not even close to a real standard in any respect) but whatever.

OMG, I did not know CI was making ninja stealth leggos? Very nice.

OMG! Please, what are all those beautiful devices!?!

You might want to visit Channel Island Audio (I am not affiliated with them, just a happy customer). It's one VDA2 DAC with Two VHP2 in a balanced configuration. The other three modules are the power supplies for the two VHP2s and VDA2.

The polished aluminum block above it is my custom balanced cMoy amp. The chrome balls are...well, crome balls

The ninja magical turtle guards my stash

That puts my ugly Tower to shame. Instead of frankenstein parts like mine, yours is an exercise in silveriness. congrats, bet it sounds great too!

So, how is the balanced CMoy for an entry into the world of balanced? I've just acquired a DAC with balanced outs, and I really don't have enough cash to afford a balanced B22. Also, about how much was yours to build?

Very nice looking stack SK138. What's that shiny box on top of the CIAudio stuff?
Thank you Patu!

That beautiful case was my previous custom passive pre-amp made by Art at Ampbox. It's a solid polished aluminum block. I gutted it and I will place (two) balanced cMoy amp when I get it back from the builder for more modding. cMoys cost <$100, custom case <$300, the balanced sound is priceless

Btw...the shinny balls have no function...they just look good...and the Ninja turtles guard my stash
