Very nice woodworking Steve! I'm glad to see you are marketing some of your fine work.

I wonder what they sound like with that unique shape of ear cup.

I smell an oppo in my future. I am looking at a CDP upgrade, and those look ice cold. And $169 is pocket change!

I be they are only US plugs/voltage etc...
EDIT: Found a UK dealer...

How quiet are they, transport-wise though? I tend to have to sit right near my rack, and player-noise annoys me intensely.

Hey mate. I'm also after an Oppo (a 981HD specifically), which UK dealer did you find 'em on? Was it CRT Projectors?

Well, it's an IEC 3-prong input in the back (like what's in your computer PSU) and it has a 110-240V voltage range.

Well, my rig has drastically changed this Spring/Summer. As usual the L3000, Qualia 010, and old-chassis SDS are still very much at home here, and are here to stay. However they're not in these pics; just the new-ish stuff

Very quiet. I can't hear any transport noise (CD spinning, seeking, clicking, or what have you) at all when I'm listening to my Grado's. Even with the headphones off they're dead slient. I really really think that Oppo's are under-rated and a great bang for the buck!
