OK - I really - really scrwed up. I finally got the equipment (B&K phone pre-amp with SP/DF output)to feed the LP-12 ,RB-300.Asaka - into my EAD-9000/3. Un-fortunatly - I can't find my outer platter . I assume that in one of the minor basement floods it got thrown out along with the sodden boxes of Audio mags,etc. Clearly a real big mistake.
My Lp-12 is around 20 years old and I believe the inner and outer platter assemblies on these remained un-changed for decades. I would buy a inner platter/bearing assembly at the same time if nesecary - but really only need the outer platter.
From my point of view - a not so trivial Linn question? I seem to remember that fairly recently - Linn offered a up-grade to the LP-12 that required re-placing the inner and outer platter assemblies? If this isn't just fanciful thinking on my part - does anyone know if you were required to turn in your old platter assemblies when you up-graded? If figure if some of these are floating around out there - I might not quite be SOL?
