Hey ladies & gents,

Do hope this finds you well.

I have a brand new Sound Blaster ZX sound card. It has a vast range of features and functionality including an on board headphone amplifier which would be great, especially if it were being used specifically for headphone use and gaming.

As I am looking at my custom built beast of a PC I have created and brought to life... Should I sell the ZX for around £110.00 and invest in a more audio focused card? Examples of audio cards woukd be appreciated as I am thinking of the Sonar by ASUS but are any bespoke cards coming onto the market? Will be getting a Schiit Jotunheim but not sure if a sound card would improve the quality of the DAC connection or audio?

Advice, guidance, help is very much appreciated.

Might help to know what headphone or stuff will be connected to the sound card?
 
Are you talking about the Asus Xonar cards or the Asus Soar card?
(you could have mis-spelled either way)
