So you can used a big socket at home and a small one when mobile maybe? If you don't like the size of the socket, get an adapter.

That's my whole point I don't want an adaptor it affects the sound quality, stop being so defensive of Chord it's a constructive criticism,

Thanks Hooster but need 4 to 5 meters so thought an adapter was best, but will have a look as description of the item may help to search and find what I am after. Thanks again

If you look carefully, then you can see that the item I suggested is available in a 5m length.

No no no..no no. This product or any product should be deemed fit for release by engineers well before a manufacturer starts talking about release dates publicly. That way if there's any issues they get fixed before customers who pre-order and in my case pre PAY get dates pushed back on them. That's crap I'm sorry. Now I did read from a Rob post that it's out of Chord's hands and now a distributor problem, but what does that have to do with me or us as customers that paid to have our product in a time frame we were promised? I think those of us who had faith in this company and product enough to preorder off reading words alone on here deserve some sort of compensation. A small discount..a free case..discount on future products..Chord t-shirt..something. I didn't choose this faulty distributor, but now I'm waiting almost 3 months longer than originally promised and that's lame. Still love Chord and the passion put into this stuff but a simple "Hey it's out of our hands" isn't enough. Anyway, sorry guys I'm usually pretty positive in these threads but I'm super bummed about this June mess.

The best message in Head fi I've read in a long while, I think John Franks should compensate you with a Dave at the very least, thanks for putting fingers to keyboard and expressing your concerns, maybe throw in a blu 2 CD player as well for good measure. It's probably out of John Franks hands,it's a finished product Rob has already told us, so it's suppliers letting him down. This is the best time waiting for the hugo 2 like when packing to go on holiday it's exciting

I understand that you are peed off about the delays - we all are.

Read the Chord posts again, because the delay is nothing to do with Chord distributors - the delay is driven by the supply chain for electronic components redirecting components that Chord had ordered, to other manufacturers - there is little that Chord can do to speed the situation up.

@paul2qute  I think having a 6.3mm + a 3.5mm is a wise move. If Chord were to make a Hugo2 with 2x 6.3mm, half the guys here will complain about not having a 3.5mm output. Having a mix of 6.3mm + 3.5mm is a logical decision, and I don't think that will be changed to accommodate every individuals needs or preference.

Millennial Blues?

You feel owed a free product or discount?

Would you have preferred if Chord did not openly post with us, inform us, take our input, all so you won't feel inconvenienced on time table?

The frustration is felt by all.   We put on our big boy pants and we keep talking about the product and will have a blast this summer.

Part of your answer may be in this post - there was not enough spare room to have two full size dual-data connectors, so the 3.5mm socket has to fulfil the role..

I'm definitely not a millennial there liver spots but I hold customer service at this level of spending in high regard. I feel my way, you feel yours.
