Radioshack Phono-Mono adapter

I'm wondering about interconnects for someone using an E-mu 1212m as a source. There are those Phono-to-mono adapters that radioshack has, I have not used those but was thinking about those with the audiogeek nitrogens. The other option is the headphile E-mu cables. What I really want to know, is will the radioshack adapters lower or change the sound in any way as apposed to using the emu interconnects without an adapter?

I just bought those phono mono Aux-RCA plugs. I didnt get the gold plated version. My targeted application is the Behringer DEQ2496 and they work very well.

Cheers!

I have a set of these that I used with my Emu when I had it. They do the job but it was hard not to think that the Headphile cable would perform better.

I use them with my zu cable oxyfuel, they do not degrade sound quality at all.

I haven't noticed any degredation in sound quality from using them. I am using them with my Emu1212m and Headphile BlackCorals.

Thanks, for all you're replies. I contacted audiogeek, and they said they'd terminate the nitrogens to 1/4" at no extra cost, so I've found my cables.

Using RCA to RCA cables gives you flexibility to upgrade and use any of those cables with your system and RCA to RCA has higher resell value since there's more demand for it. Just something to think about.

Well I'm getting a system ready for my dorm room. I figure I'll be using these cables off of my computer for most if not all of my time spent in higher education study hours for the next four years or so. The resale value doesn't bother me too much.
