TOSlink optical -> USB cable - possible?

Looking to connect the optical (TOSlink) output of a source to a USB-input of a DAC.

Does such a cable and/or adapter exist? If not, could it be DIY-ed relatively easily (read: inexpensively)?

Although optical and USB are both digital, they're transmitting information in different media (light vs. electrons), so you would need some sort of adapter between the two. Is something like this what you're looking for?
