theater research scam, thoughts??..lol

well the boys in the white van got my buddy the other day..lol
so he asked me to check them out he wants my opinion on them blah blah blah (dont ask why, he probably thinks headphones-speakers)

So I go over to his house to see these bad boys and I must say they look sweet!..lol I am honestly saying that these speakers really look good in life...atleast for the $150 he paid.

I didnt get to hear them which I didnt really want to. my buddy asked what I think and I said they look nice, if they sound bad maybe you can do a crossover and driver switch on them..

so can he switch out the crossover and drivers?

the finish may be cheap and all but it still looks nice...really nice.

I know its not about looks but they are cute

Well, if he's been scammed it's too late now. Might as well tell him they sound great and let him be happy.

Even though they "look" "decent" in the picture, the drivers are probably extremely flimsy in real life and the ... oh well, 150 bucks for a 5.0 system is pretty good, lol.

LOL!

Sorry, man, but even at $150, he's definitely been ripped off. Those white vans sell notoriously crappy crap. In fact, it's the crappiest, cheapest crappy crap around.

Lol, $3995 MSRP for only $200!!!! My guess is they are very light enclosures to keep shipping and cost down, so they really wouldn't be an ideal platform to put new crossovers and drivers into.
