Hi All,

We have the Elear in stock and are starting a signup for a loaner program for the Elear. Sign up begins at 1 PM MST tomorrow. We will not accept loaner requests befor ethat time. Standard TTVJAudio loaner rules will apply!

Loaner Program Rules:

Send your name and address as well as a telephone number and your Head-Fi user name to me at todd@ttvjaudio.com. Do NOT PM me as you will not be included in the program without an email.
You will get the loaner for 1 week to use in your home with your system. After your one week is up, you must send it to the next loaner participant. Email me (todd@ttvjaudio.com) the tracking info so I can pass it on to the recipient.
You MUST write a review and post it in this loaner thread. It must be posted in the same thread as this announcement for the loaner program. Please do not post it somewhere else!
Once you have received the loaner, email me to let me know you have it and I will send the address for the next person.
Our loaner programs are USA only. We are restricted from shipping/selling outside the USA on most products.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Todd

Thank you for the chance to try the Elears, Todd. They have been on my to try list since I've heard about them, so really excited to hear them. Curious how they are compared to my AQ Nighthawks and Beyer DT 1990 Pros.

COOL!  I'm in!

Can't wait to compare them to my Audeze LCD-X!

I look forward to everyone's impressions.  I had a very good listening session with these, and I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's opinions with their personal amps.  Seems to be another polarizing headphone...

US only? Why.... Extend this program to Europe, please.

As he said in the first post, because he can't sell outside of the US.

While it is a very generous and appreciated thing Todd does, it is also a business decision, since hopefully those who try the Elear and like them will buy them from him.

Definitely looking forward to comparing these to the HD600 and HD800S!

My most recently heard headphones are Hifiman HE-560, Ether Flow, Audeze LCD-2F, and of course the LCD-X I currently own.

So, I have not actually listened to a dynamic driver headphone in quite some time!  The last dynamic I owned was a pair of Sennheiser HD650, previous to that was a pair of Grado RS1i.

The ELEAR is on my short list for next headphone purchase.  Can't wait to hear them!  I wish I still had the Ether Flow in house, though, to compare directly.

In any case, though, it will be great to compare directly to the LCD-X (2016 revision).  I love the X, but man it is heavy!  Any weight savings at all is a plus.

Thanks very much @Todd for the opportunity, I'm really looking forward to auditioning the Elears.

I'll be driving it with my new Cavalli Liquid Gold - "The Final Edition" amp, which should be nicely burned-in by the time it's my turn in the rotation. My point of comparison will be my beloved HD-800 with the SD mod.

What would be even nicer is if @Todd threw in a balanced cable in the package for loanees!

Although - I should be careful making unreasonable requests - I think I may have been one of those Todd rebuked for "jumping the gun!" In my defense, it was an accident, I retracted immediately, and then sent the email again after the window opened!!
