New Inear Prophile-8 - Page 15

I have heard both and they are very different signatures.

The Solars are more V shaped whereas the 8s are more neutral.

Unless you use the Inspector gadget switches the PP8 has to alter the signature to make them more fun or enhanced to suit a specific genre.

Run them flat and they are very neutral across the board and do not distort how things sound from source.

Still can't get over the near perfect CIEM type fit in a univsersal, for that alone In Ear deserve recognition and now other people are following suit like JHAwith their new Pro series range using same method but they are still far behind in perfecting it like In Ear have done.

I am enjoying the Prophile-8 balanced from my WM1Z with my Prima Donna 8-braid cable and the new Sony triple comfort tips. I encourage people to try these new tips, they are ultra comfortable, between silicone and foam.

Thanks for the tip(s), I've just ordered a pair from eBay. Been trying different tips for these and settled on Comply which is doing a good job. Really interested to see how these feel.

Is that the navy blue Dignis Midas case on the photo? Is your WM1Z fully inserted? It doesn't seem to be protecting Jack **** from an impact (pun intended)
The official Sony leather case for the ZX2 had the same Achilles heel. Fortunately, Sony built these almost rugged. But still that beautiful dial had a cosmetic dent.

Really wish I could compare the PP8 to my Zeus R on my WM1A.
The PP8 has some very alluring aspects for me:
Good price
Universal fit, easier cleaning maintenance (tips vs ciems)
Flush fit, won't protrude as much as the Zeus R I imagine
Low profile look, even less risk of mugging 😁 (I admit I went overboard with mine)
Balanced sig

It is the navy blue Midas and it fits perfectly. True, it doesn't protect the top.

The Zeus R is less neutral than the P8 from memory, but universal to universal, the R might be smaller.

Yeeeeees. Finally after much much much tip rolling I have found the perfect tips for me on the Prophile-8. These are the new Spinfit CP200 double flanche tips. They bring perfect balance to the sound, and great depth and layering. If you are using the Prophile-8, please try many tips.
