http://www.onecall.com has some pretty good deals. For some higher-end gear, try YAWA. -- http://www.yawaonline.com Pretty good prices and a great reputation.

There you go, sports fans, a perfect example of why you shouldn't buy from people discounting too heavily. If you bought headphones from them you won't be getting service now! PRICE IS NOT EVERYTHING! Support retailers who support you. Those people do nothing for our hobby at large but deny profit to those who are willing to invest in the market.

That's a good point, that's why i only spent tons of money for DVD's. They had some great prices, usually found some titles for $9 or $10. Buying headphones online? I leave it up to this company called "headroom."

www.dvdplanet.com has good everyday prices, lots of stuff on sale on any given day, and has excellent service. Good search engine too. I won't miss 800.com too much. Their selection and prices on electronics never wowed me. Never used em for DVD buying though.

I'm shocked not a lot of folks used them for DVD shopping, i always scored some big deals everytime i went there.

I used 800.com for DVD when they first opened (I'm trying to remember the exact promotion, something like 2 or 3 DVD's for a dollar). They had good prices for awhile, but it became hard to sort them out from the overpriced ones. Their prices went up, their service went down, and I went away from them long ago. The way things have settled out, cheapest way to buy the big releases is to catch Best Buy or Circuit City in the week they come out...Costo is also good but doesn't carry much. For selection, DVDPlanet and DVDEmpire are both pretty good. Another place that has fair pricing, but free shipping to make it a better deal, is DeepDiscountDVD (and sometimes they have the lowest price as well). dvdpricesearch.com is extremely useful in finding who has the best pricing at any given time.

Hey Hirsch,

Thanks for the extra links, there is one store that actually has very fair prices and that's JandR in lower Manhattan. Sometimes if i go on a buying spree i can walk out with 15 dvds (from $10-$20) for $200-$250. If any dvd is priced over $20 and doesn't have a ton of bonus features i tend to look online for a cheaper price.
