The Edimun has been getting some attention in the  Earbuds thread lately. They have been mentioned as somewhat of a legend - taking a $7 Edifier earbud, retuned and recabled with De'mun's custom cable.

@golov17 and I bought ourselves some on the same day making us the first De'Mun customers outside Indonesia possibly?

I found their site today.

Seems like they have quite a bit of offerings in the way of portable amps and the Edimun is more of a "side project". I'm interested to check out their bMac amp kinda...

Interestingly enough the bMac amp seems to offer rollable opamps which, especially as a portable amp, will be of interest to many....
And very interesting they choose to have a 10 ohm output next to a 75 ohm output! This could be very fun!

As for the Edimun... very very interested to see how this will come out!

Edifier H180 Mod De’Mun Full Copper Cable

a.k.a Edimun Rp. 475.000
  1. 4 Strand De’Mun Full Copper (100 cm per strand)
  2. SHURE 3.5mm Male Stereo Connector
  3. 1 pair stock foam
  4. 1 pair bonus foam

Mods - Apologies if this belongs in portable amp chat. However as they mainly seem to deal in portable amps and earbud/headphone recables, was unsure where to place this.

P.S. If anyone has a VE Runabout and has a chance to check one of these out, would love to know the differences. the Runabout is still a big mystery to me...

65USD! That's a big markup from the original H180 (around 10 bucks). When you receive your Edimun @vapman
kindly compare and if possible enlighten us whether the price difference is justified.

To be fair. I asked how much a DIY cable is and they're barely adding any markup for labor. I will absolutely post my thoughts.

  hi there,

let me clarify this, actually "demun custom cable" and "bengkelmakro" is diffren diy'er

Yup, I didn't realize they were separate for a while.

But they are both a+ !!!

I'm enjoying my bMac amp a lot - it's really really good.
Absolutely perfect with IEM and earbuds.

Per your original post I too am quite curious how this amp compares to the VE Runabout... I've been wanting one for months!

I still would like to hear the Runabout. I just posted in the Earbuds thread through my thoughts about it versus a few other amps.

 t think it's a bit better than the cayin c5 (!)

Way way way ahead of the iFi iCan's.

Even better than the one built into my iDSD Micro, but less power than the Micro is capable of putting out.

Hello there,

I am also interested in these stuffs
redface.gif

I have discussed with Iriyan.
To be more precise, the gain opamp on bMac mk2 is now the JRC 4580, NE5532 was on mk1.
Btw, how do you change gain on bMac ?

I hesitate now between bMac and Runabout Plus.
From what I read here and there, bMac mk2 and Runabout Plus would be apparently very close.
Both are said to be neutral, have same price range, 9V battery, wall charger included.
bMac has 2 HO.

From Vapman"s impressions, bMac is close to the C5.
From original Runabout reviews, it would be close to C5 but Runabout has less power.
Now that Runabout Plus is released, it seems to be more juicy than before.
So which one to buy??? Difficult choice... It seems to be a tie game.

I will be able to place an order next week.
Right now, I'm leaning towards bMac mk2 + Edimun v2 Oyaide Rhodium L

Cheers

Just posted some bmac 3CH MK2 gut shots. It's a really nice amp an has replaced both the cayin c5 and garage1217 for me personally

I would still like to compare it to runabout...

edit: I have to admit I haven't taken the time to fully appreciate the LOD yet because I have been so overwhelmed with how amazing RedDemon and bMac are - the LOD is insane! It's so nice! Like..... GOD DAMN! would fit in just fine with your Tesla and $20k watch...
