Logitech Z-2200 Speakers

So i need a pair of speakers for my computer/bedroom setup and i was wondering if anyone has the logitech z-2200's and could give me some input. They're currently on sale at amazon for 105 with a 50 dollar rebate and free shipping (55 total!) I've heard these things are pretty good and can compete with the klipsch's. Does anyone have any impressions?

And before everyone chimes in with advice on getting bookshelves and an amp, i just spent a small fortune (for me at least) on a some nice towers and a jolida amp. These speakers will be used for movies occasionally and when i get tired of headphones.

Last question, should i drop the 40 dollars on a sonica, or is the line out on my dell computer good enough?

Thanks for the help.

For you to not name the towers yet name the jolida (model?) tells me your amp may outclass your speakers

If you want cheap, just go for it. Skip the sonica, just use the line out. You'll do your fun listening on the new towers anyway, right?

haha, the towers are athena as-f2's. many people scoff at them because they sell them at bestbuy, but i was convinced by a ton of positive reviews and the glowing recommendation in stereophile. i guess i'm a little insecure not having $2500 B&W's, heh.

Oh and the amp is a Jolida 1501RC Hybrid. Got a good deal on it and i love the idea of having a tube pre-amp with the solid state. It's warm but powerful.

Nice. I dreamed about them before I went an entirely different route Be sure to let us know how they are!

You can't expect anything, really, for $50 in the world of audio, so...The logitechs are just about as bad as anything else out there At half price, if you're not willing to drop close to $200, just do it...
