Home Karaoke System

New place, new TV, and I just love to sing!

So, I want to build myself a karaoke system using computer, receiver, tv, and speakers that I currently have.

I've done some research and it seems that I would need a mixer and a pre-amp for the microphone I obviously need to sing.

This is where yall come in, what are your recommendations for mixer and pre-amp/mic in a beginner setup. Little better quality than typical karaoke places, please!

Oh, btw no even sure this is the right place to post this, please redirect me if so

I use an Alesis Multimix 4. Wait around and you may find them to go on sale for sub $60 (even 50). Just simple to use.

I also use two Shure SM58S mics. I would buy two wireless mics if you don't intend to use these mics for anything else.

My setup is Apple TV -> Flatscreen -> Receiver -> MIXER <- Mics

This way you can pass a tablet around for people to queue songs on a YouTube playlist or something.

I don't know if it's a bad idea but I connect the receiver to the headphone input on the mixer via aux.
