Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Can anyone comment on the amount of bass coming out of the Andromeda compared to the JH Angie?   Coming from a variable bass IEM, I wanted to make sure the amount of bass coming out of the Andromeda will be satisfying to me.   I typically have my Angie's dialed to 2 o'clock.   Any other general comparisons between the two?  Is the soundstage wider than Angie, as that was something Angie was known to do well.

I used to own Angie but sold it. Based on my re-collection, they have diff kind of bass. Angie is more focus on mid bass while Andro on deeper bass. Andro bass dacay is faster and cleaner. Andro has way more treble extension than Angie. The Andro will have about the same sounstage as Angie. They are both not "ear friendly" based on my ear shape.Andro's vocal is cleaner, crisper and more refine than Angie. When tune to 2o'clock on bass dial, Angie loose alot of treble and sound way too warm.  Now if you use silicon for Angie and Comply for Andro, the bass is kind of level up but still entirely diff kind.

Depends on what tonality you prefer, Jerry;s IEM are tune very warm when bass dial is up to 2 oclock. Its even warmer than HD650. to put in Angie perspective, Andro's treble will be brighter than no dial on Angie but having bass level at 1 o'clock. I prefer Andro's tonal more than Angie.

Warning: Above based on memory, and memory fades as we age

How do the Andromeda compare to the DN-2000J?

I'm so happy found my Jupiter iem's the other day now I have Nova, Jupiter and Andro! Anyway Dunu sound character is different than Campfire, they have a brighter more spotlit treble balance than Campfire, I believe they are clones of the AKG 3003. Campfire seem to be more balanced with more midrange balance and slightly more coherent across the frequency range.
Strange too since finding my Jupiters they seem to fit right between the Nova and Andro. I also agree the Mojo seems a little dark compared to straight out of my A&K 320 but more musically relaxing ( through the Mojo). At some point I want to try a little tube amp with my Campfires just don't know which one.

I agree my comments were across the three Campfire models I own not just the Andro's. I would say they are different someone that loves treble may prefer their sound sig. Ever rent a car and the treble tone control is pushed to max while everything else is either at or below the flat line, that person may prefer the Dunu sound sig. So "not close" is based on one's listening preference or bias. I'm giving mine Dunu 2000j to a non audiophile friend.

Ironically I was one of the very first people to comment on this thread and show an interest in the new models but it ended up taking me forever to get a pair of Andromedas. I've published a full review here but here are the cliff notes after ~15 hours of listening:

-I sold the Orion to upgrade to Andro, very worthwhile investment as it is an improvement across the board
-overall presentation is a slightly musical/sweet take on a reference tuning, all genres sound good
-bass goes deep, is extremely satisfying and doesn't sound like BA bass. notes are slightly thick but keep up in speed and don't bleed.
-mids are very much clear and in focus, I love how CA manages to have vocals dance over the instruments
-highs are ever-present but make a point to never displease with splash or sibilance despite carrying so much energy
-staging is excellent, not an insane out of your head experience but fills the area in between your ears and gives a sense of fullness to the presentation

Overall, a definite keeper for me and pretty much my ideal signature in a nutshell. I still believe the Orion is an excellent value proposition at it's price point for those that cannot afford the Andromeda, and it isn't as far off in performance as one would think.
