SOLD : Joseph Grado HP-1000 (HP2) Headphones (Restored by JG in 2005)

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Hello fellow Head-Fiers,

This has been a joyful audio bliss ride but the time has come to let this pair go to another Joe Grado (RIP) headphones aficionado. The only reason I'm selling them is to finance a new hobby of mine, video production.

These were bought around 5 years ago from a fellow Head-Fier troughout another site then and were previously restored in 2005 by the creator himself. I'm pretty sure he revamped the insides by adding his custom acoustical dampening cause there is still plenty of that brownish looking stuff he used.

Overall Condition :

The headband has slight top marks from the buttons of the Beyer Headband I used but the padding is still great. Both pole lock screws are there but the right one is looser when tightened as well as the right gimbals.

There is almost no lettering left ( Joe used to wiped them when there wasn't much left ) except the flat dome mesh grill buttons which you can still see the white JG logos, left button has scratches.

The cups are clean, without dents but with a few very minor scratches here and there. There is 6 allen screws out of 12, all on the left side. Right driver is still firmly in place.

The Joseph Grado Signature Ultra-Wide Bandwidth Cable 4 markings are still visible, cable is slightly stiff and twisted after the Y-Split, for some reason the zip ties he used inside to lock the cables in sliced the black insulation after a few years so the 2 insulated conductors on each side are now visible, it doesn't affect performance at all, mostly cosmetic. The 1/4 TRS connector has slighty lost it's gold plating.

These are up to par with every other HP1000 (HP2) I've encountered but I do think that they have that special feel that Joe worked his magic on them to squeeze that 1% improvement.

Package Includes :

Joseph Grado HP1000 (HP2) Headphones
Old TTVJ Flat Pads (Which needs to be replaced in my opinion)
Black Velcro Cable Tie
Black & Silver Carrying Case w/ DIY Dice Foam Insides

I only accept Paypal payment method in USD and fees aren't included in the asking price but standard shipping is.

I do ship Internationally but North America is highly preferrable since these are 1 out of 1000.

You can pm me for any questions/offers you might have.

Thank you for your interest !

- Julien
