TRINITY - DELTA HYBRID V II

Really? Interesting since the foams supposedly make the treble even smoother. It's really nice to see such variety of sound preferences.

You know, back when i just had one pair of iems and before i got into headfi and into all this world of audio gear, i considered myself as a basshead, i really liked bass. And i figure it probably was because cheap and common earphones that you buy in any electronics store have nothing to offer besides bass (with some exceptions of course).

Then i tried some decent iems and started to like the upper mids...a lot! I still love my bass, but from that moment on, bass wasn't everything. There was more to enjoy, i listened to the same songs but it was different. I noticed so much that i didn't before.

Somehow i still couldn't enjoy treble, i mean, it had to be there but it had to be smooth. I tried, for example, the dn1k and i thought the treble was so harsh, i couldn't adjust, i had to take them of my ears.

So i concluded i'm treble sensitive, but does that mean i cannot enjoy it? I'm hoping to find the answer with these (and the sabres). With so many filters and tips maybe i can find a signature where sparkly treble exists and i become in love with it
biggrin.gif
or maybe treble isn't just my cup of tea, who knows? Quite an adventure i'm on
wink.gif
 i'm loving the journey.

Either way, the beauty of the filters is that we can customize it, so i'm sure i'll enjoy it with or without sparkly treble.

About the spinfits, i never tried them but they seem interesting, i might give them a go

Hey, about the same path i took.

Started off wanting, looking for, and liking bass, i'm ashamed to say that i even tried....  I don't like to admit this...  I tried...  beats earphones
angry_face.gif
.  My foolish days.

But i was lucky because Head-fi saved me... I found soundmagic e80's off the reviews here and that was my door into head fi and a more mids oriented preference.  I love the soundstage it offers that the bassiness constricts..  Never experienced immersion like that before.  Deprived  lol

I actually only committed to mids/upper-mids once i heard the gold filters from these Delta V-II's.  I'm excited for you to try these out.

I have experimented with the treble, too and can't make that jump either.  Sometimes if the artist's music works with it.

But the clarity of these mids made me get the sabre's too and I think those are going to be something special.

If you guys are both into mids with a former admiration for bass and no love for treble them once you have finished giving Bob all your money for his latest batch of shiny new toys then if you have any left over, you might want to try some Aurisonics or Fender products (Fender bought them recently and rebranded) as that is their "house sound".

Was busy working my way through their range until Bob's latest building spree, now I'm on the hook for the Vyrus and the Sabre already, and waiting for the Masters to launch to see if I just get one or both of those, so have had to park my experiments with other brands while Trinity is busy destroying my bank balance!

Ha!  I wish i could look elsewhere.  The DV-II and sabre are gonna be IT for a while for me.  Too good a value.  Heck i get a few IEM's in one trinity IEM because of the filters.  I just hope bob keeps coming out with stuff later on when i can refill my wallet.  Mine's busted with these two as well.

Of course he's got to come out with that darn Master 4/tetrad in such close succession.  punk

The thing about aurisonics (now fender) is that from one model to another the price takes a giant leap x) but i will try them someday, thanks for the recommendation

(i've been watching them for a while now). So far i'm with @Indigo Bob, i won't buy anything for a while, my wallet is too traumatized, the poor thing
biggrin.gif

And you have to admit, the value of the trinity iems is huge. Priorities

So i finally sucked it up and went with the deep seal of biflanges ...  I'm used to the shallow seal or semi-deep with the foams....  and

WOW!

So dramatic a difference, or if you want the more composed verbiage, such a substantially significant improvement.

These Baby's shine!  these are something else.

I can see why @Brooko was concerned about shallow fit from the other IEM's.

I haven't tried them yet, but I am glad @Bobtrinity is including Spinfits into the accessories packages of future models.

Those biflanges give a great seal & sound, but they ''flop" out of my inner ear after a short while when I'm moving around a bit (yes I vacuum clean with iems in my ears, so sue me: the job gets done quicker
biggrin.gif
). Funny, but annoying. Am curious about the spinfits also, but sticking to foam for longer sessions and regular silicones at work so I can take them out of my ears more easily. The foam gives me the best sound/comfort combo so far.

I'll always love foam, but I'm a little addicted to the Gold's sparkle.

But i gotta say... "Why wouldn't you with IEM's in your ears?"  lol

One little problem i have run into is the front edge of the cylinder of the monitor where it begins to angle towards the filters.  It's pretty sharp, not smoothed out at all.  It prevents me from wearing these a little deeper.  I have to shallow fit them as much as possible and it's unfortunate because its such a small thing to fix to make them more comfortable.  I am going to be bold and say that i think this should have been smoothed out flush.

It really detracts from the comfort especially in long duration wearing
