Anyone know anything about these German headphones?

Love the way those look.:beerchug:

I too had been periodically eyeing that brand up here and there.

I suppose you'd have to check the German forums or wait until a euro -fier happens to see this. I'm curious.

Thanks for the post

off to read the translated reviews now...  this seems to be the common denominator through most reviews and tests I see :

" When the bass sound is as I said quite dominant. The mid and high tones not go under, but the sound seems relatively dull, what is not to everyone's liking. It's just a matter of taste whether you like this or not "

" the sound I find very nice bassy, but never exaggerated (depending on SETTINGS. the device nat.), the mids and highs are contrary to other statements here absolutely not swallow and "sacrificed" for the benefit of the powerful basses.
In addition, this KH gets more from an investment in volume. you can turn back the volume knob a bit and has more power in spite of everything (not just bass)."

"Mids and voices sound the devil pleasant, dull minimal, yet clearly understood, heights are also pleasant and not too flashy. Analytical listening with these headphones not possible music, especially in the mainstream area, but the headset brings very good effect. Listening to music with the devil Aureol Massive fun, if you like bass. When the bass something curbs via EQ, you get even relatively well-balanced sound, which has few weaknesses.

Conclusion:
Good bass headphones for listening to music at home or on medium length train / bus rides. € 69.99 I would not spend it, because then you're not far away from areas where you get much better headphones.

But if you want powerful bass, makes itself at this price nothing wrong, because I've not heard handset which makes this better."

and so on

so seems a less analytical style, and also who knows if they respond better to proper amplification or not, as a good portion of the Amazon.de ( for what those are worth ) mention nothing and I get  the impression use a lot of phone outs.

Definitely bass focussed.

I have to correct : These new headphones are caller TEUFEL MASSIVE, the old ones were TEUFEL AUREOL MASSIVE...

Well, I've been reading some german websites, some polish and some from belgium/netherlands and they all seem to concur on one thing and that is : they are bass heavy but in the same time mids and highs are pretty clear and well balanced.

Could they be a hidden gem I wonder?

I am not a German, but I am in Germany as a student. As part of 'language learning process' I started reading the hifi magazines here, and found the 'Tuefel's to have very good rating, I have noticed in many other german forums too. They have rated 'teufel' always to be a total value for money. I am not a fan of their design, but when I first saw a Teufel aureol massive headphone with a colleague from the place I do a part time job, it was impressive. To me first thing I noticed was the build quality. I didn't listen to it though. But since the prices are not way to up there, I am considering getting one. Teufel's loudspeakers are hugely rated here by the way(again for price to performance ratio, they have lot of THX certified home cinema products, so they are not a cheap manufacturer). One thing I have noticed, is lack of marketing on German products. There are lot of hidden Gems!
