LG-V10 Hi-Fi audio quality review on serious audio performance

I still cant get over how good this thing sounds. Its so clear and detailed, but it somehow does it without ever sounding harsh or tiring. Its extremely detailed but it doesnt shove it in your face.

My JDS Labs ODAC along with my emotiva speaker amp with the Q701 plugged into it sounds just as detailed but it for some reason doesnt sound as clean. It presents everything in a way that is like detail overload and wears me out pretty quick.

The Q701 with the V10 again is extremely clean and detailed but it doesnt get tiring and wear me out. Cymbals sound insane, this is where it is the most obvious. Cymbals are so clear and sparkly. The bass also hits pretty sharply and has a lot of texture. Better attack and speed i guess.

Anybody compared V10 a xperia z3/z5 or iPhone 6 yet? :) I've done a quick A/B with iPhone using sony mdr-1a and beyerdynamics cans and found V10 to be a little better but not by a wide margin.  iPhone sounded a little more closed in and less transparent with sound stage squished.  V10 felt more expansive and had more air to the sound.  Ended up keeping V10 and selling the iPhone but curious if others can corroborate V10's superiority. Or is it a placebo effect? :)))

Just FYI - i have dropped spotify an email to get it work with the ess dac. Hope there will be a good news from them soon...

Just got reply from spotify that the ess dac is not support and they dont know as at then it will be supported. Too bad i will need to give up sportify and use tidal as it is for sure compatible with v10.

Did anyone tried Onkyo HF player premium version yet? I know that the basic version was a fail.
Thanks.

No plans of lg bringing this this to Australia, this is not good, looks like it's grey import time.
How is LG going to take take over the mobile world with a pathetic no show release like this!

Well, this is interesting. I've called the four closest T-Mobile stores and all of them are sold out on the phone.

Did I miss something? Did Apple make this phone?

Finally found a T-Mobile store that had one and I'm glad I did. This phone is freakin' awesome. I had the Note 5, ip6s+, G4, etc. and this is my favorite. The sound quality really is what everyone has said, a real cut above the other phones I've had. I'm really, really impressed.

For what it's worth: Rhapsody streaming works fine with HiFi DAC just like Tidal does.
