Torque: Bringing Portland's Head-Fi'ers Together Since 2015!

Ha! I would have some interest in this. I've been looking to expand my gear. Wouldn't be a bad thing to get a chance to speak with some people in person with some more gear to help make some more informed choices :)

I'll make a group PM soon to a few PDX'ers I've met in headfi and see what we can pull together. If one of us get these, maybe we can give the other a listen. Speaking of that, if you're up in PDX soon (and I mean soon!), shoot me a line and I'll let you give the t096z a listen. I've been using them as my exclusive IEM for the past few days and am really enjoying them!

I've shifted my listening to the t402v.  With this second up market generation Torque appears to have embraced a 'house sound' (or at least some shared characteristics).  Accurate and fast with really nice dynamics.  Maybe it's the use of the bio-cell driver in both the t402v and the t096z or the tuning or a combination of both.

I'm flying tonight but once I'm re-settled I'll start composing my review.

P.S. The t402v really hug the head; it's like they're saying I love you and want to flatten your ears to show it.

Comfort is good, I'm not getting a hot spot on the crown of my skull like I have with the (unbearable) Thinksound On1.  I'm using the on-ear pads, the over-ears are a little too large for me.
