the answer is you get both

Sure, though I might prefer to do one (the one I don't need right away) in the aftermarket.

I opted for the balanced termination. The GS-X ii I have on order is balanced, as is my DAC's output.

I also have a really nice Q audio single-ended cable, to use with my Liquid Glass.

Guys, I've removed the recent cable debate, as it was definitely off-topic of the LCD4.

I'm looking forward to seeing more impressions of the LCD4 once people get it in their hands.

Thanks Joe...much appreciated. And I agree...DYING to hear more about this state of the art beauty!

Hopefully more feedback is on the way soon.

It sure will be, once it's actually here. I haven't gotten any updates on the amp from Justin, but at least this will allow me to only introduce one new component at a time into the sound chain, and be able to more objectively ascertain their individual impact this way.

The new headband is very easy to replace for anyone who hasnt done it before...takes all of five mins. Like the Lohb strap it eliminates nearly all the downward pressure of the previous headband. The width of it disperses the remaining weight very evenly to where its far more comfortable. Moreso, the clamping pressure is perfect. Just enough clamp for a proper seal AND to keep the headphones from shifting on my head when I change position. That was an issue on the previous version for me.

It also gives the headphones a smaller profile, which I think many will appreciate. All in all, Audeze came up with a near-perfect design, in my opinion.

Thank you very much.

I think its best to go balanced, you can always get an adapter to use them single ended, but you cant go the other way around.

Anytime, my friend.

Yes, thank you. However does it really need to be $150? I've already spent 2000 on your overpriced headphones and now in order for them to be more comfortable you want another $150 for a headband?

Does Audeze make anything that isn't overpriced?
