This was genius! Never seen it before

That is what I like about Tyll, He is just not an extention of the manufacturer selling teams. So we always expect to read/watch his review knowing that we get his point of view and it matters :-)

Has anyone seen the LCD-4 ad in Stereophile?  It is just goofy with the "attempted hip wording".

Just wondering - to they evoke similar reactions from you as what Tyll expressed?  Do you ever listen to them?

I had some hard conversations in german forum´s about that HP.

Here, some people are some kind of brand-related when buying expensive stuff, even if its not good.

I was very very disappointed at the time i got the ED10 and i was one of the first customers.

This happened weeks before Tyll´s review appeared on the internet.

I talked to a engineer from Ultrasone at the last Munich HighEnd and i was told that there is a mod to optimize the ED10, which could be done at the factory.

I´m sure that ED 10 will never sound really good. Maybe i visit the Factory some time, it is short distance from my hometown in Bavaria.

I´m usually more thrilled on planar-magnetic or Electrostatic Headphones and this journey to dynamic HP was just a big mistake.

Or you can use that as an excuse to head into the city but never make it past Hofbrauhaus.

Thanks for your comments, Karl.

Reason I asked is - my first high-end can was the Ed-8.  Thought I was in HP heaven.  Then, the Ed-10 launched and, despite the price, I was tempted.  Luckily, I went in a different direction - to planar-magnetic like you.

Prost,

Dick Bailey
