You stated that it played the .dsf sample files.

Not likely. Could be the way your files are tagged. I'm no expert but good luck.

Thanks.

I haven't even read this review (I'll get around to it at some point) but my goodness a lot of work must have gone into it! Awesome stuff!

NEED HELP WITH AN SD CARD!

I just got my Sandisk Ultra 128 card.

The manual for the QP1R says 'Face the Positive side of the Micro SD card down and insert it'.

Positive side?   There is no 'little arrow' on my card.  On one side the end has the little metal strips.  Is that the 'Positive side'?

You put the card in with the metal strips in the front and DOWN, yes?

I've tried to slide the card in and it doesn't go so well.  There's a little notch on the right side of the card and I'm not sure how that's supposed to work.

Please advise, I'm dying to know if updating the firmware will fix my 'scrolls backward by itself' problem.

The SD card will only go in one way, and that's with the metal strips facing upwards. You will have to use your finger nail to push the card in all the way, and then it will lock in place.

What do you mean by 'scrolls backward by itself'?

That helps, thanks.

I format the card via the QP1R.   I connect the QP1R to my PC.   I see the drive, 119 gig of it.   I copy the QW1.FW file to the card.

I disconnect the QP1R from my PC and run the upgrade function.

It says 'file system not support'.

????

I'm at say, level 36.  I scroll up to 36, 38, 39, 40.   The device will then scroll back to 36, 38, etc, by itself.

*******IT.  This POS JUST DELETED ALL THE FILES OFF THE INTERNAL DRIVE.   I DID NOT EVER SAY TO FORMAT THIS DRIVE AGAIN.

I was told updating the firmware would not delete your music files off the internal drive.

Looks like my days of having a DAP are over, this thing is going back.

the firmware file should be 'q1.fw' - we should not rename it. Make sure you download the firmware from Questyle site.

Your SD card in slot 1 or 2?

On both firmware 1.0.2 and 1.0.4, i never experience this issue.

Well I'll sleep better tonight knowing you're not having this problem.
