Wazazaby : Introduction

Hello !

I'm Wazazaby, I'm 16 and I live in Grenoble, France (sometimes my english is not be perfect).

My passions are rugby, nerd and geek stuff, and PC gaming.

My audio stuff :

I'm new to audio, so I don't have a lot of experience and knowledge, and I have a "noob" setup. I listen the most music on my PC, with a DAC, the FiiO E18 Kunlun, and the Audio Technica ATH-M50x (yes...).

I also use the DAC with my Note 4 (I'll have some questions about this DAC) and the same headphones.

I listen to a lot to House/Deep House and I also listen to Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Cazzette, Zedd etc... My favorites songs of all time are How Deep Is Your Love (Calvin Harris), Ghosts N Stuff (Deadmau5), Voices (Disclosure).

All my music is in .flac/.wav format, 16/24 bits and arround 44kHz to 96kHz so I listen, mostly, to Hi Res audio.

That's all for my presentation, thank you if you read it.

Now for my questions :

About the FiiO, a lot of posts and forums have good rating and opinion for it, but I don't know if the thing doesn't work or it comes from my phone (Galaxy Note 4) but I cannot ear a difference with it plug or not... Or it comes from me ? I use high quality audio so no problem from this side.

Maybe I'm not doing correctly... Please help me !

Thanks !

Sorry if I'm not understanding the question correctly... but the Note 4 sounds pretty good, so plugging in the E18 may not make that much of a difference... maybe you could tell more of a difference with higher end cans but who knows. At least the E18 has its own battery.

Ok so maybe it was a bad choice to boy this DAC?

Let your ears decide? Haha... only you'll know. You can try selling it and getting something else.

Yes, or I thinks that I'm gonna use it on my PC, since the sound card on it is complete ****!

Great idea... I think it's great in that situation. It's the cheapest DAC/amp you can get with no obvious flaws.
