I decided to order an iCAN SE to pair with my iDSD. I want to see how well the bass boost on the iCAN SE affects the Ether C. Will report back.

So my v1.1 upgrade was delivered today.  Its actually a bigger difference than I was expecting. Has @mrspeakers or anyone else posted a FR graph of the 1.0 and 1.1 differences?

I'm guessing that the stock white pads over the driver are the same felt as the white felt in the tuning kit and one can get an approximation as to what the changes are by looking at the tuning kit graph.

Edit: Forgot to add the shot of the 1.1 foam

Just in case of, the 1.1 black pad has to be put on top of one of the two former white pads.

Does the Chord MoJo warmen up the Ether C significantly? (add more bass/tame highs?) I've read that the MoJos soundstage isn't super wide but adds depth?

The Mojo isn't warm at all, IMO.  It's very crisp and transparent.  Don't expect it to add anything to the FR.  If you're looking for a warmer portable solution, try something like the ALO Continental Dual Mono or Continental v5.

That's what I wanted to hear since I'm now really liking the treble of the Ether C.

Does anyone know the length of the 3.5mm DUM cable that can be bought separately from their website? I assume it's 2m, but wanted to make sure before ordering one.

Also, anyone have an idea where to buy this cable in Europe?

~40h burn-in done and I'm starting to hear the low sub bass maybe getting up in level although I have pretty much listened non stop (apart from sleep) so hard to tell.
I hope they will keep improving at the same pace. WOW. Putting on 1 black pad each side while writing this, yeah there was significant improvement compared to yesterday when I tried it with 1 pad.
0 Fatigue and amazing bass. No decrease in soundstage as far as I can tell. So damn smooth.......

I heard / felt biggest difference at 200-hour mark. YMMV. Enjoy.

Random observation of the day: I think I actually prefer the ETHER-C out of solid-state amps rather than tube amps. It just feels like it has more impact and harder bass. In other words, I don't think the "tubey" effect complements the ETHER-C (whereas I think the opposite is the case with the LCD-XC).

I think I have to disagree with that. I heard the Microzotl 2 and an Ampsandsound Kenzie this past weekend at Canlanta meet and they were oh sooo nice. Both amps had plenty of headroom to drive them nicely. I think either are preferable for me over my Liquid Carbon not that I don't love it as well. I will be getting one or the other in the coming months. I didn't find either amp overly tubie also so that might be a difference for me . They were just full of detail , soundstage and just a bit of warmth that just made the C's sound fantastic. Both of the amps had plenty of impact for me but as with all things audio YMMV. I bought a Valhalla 2 several months ago and it did not work well with the C's so I would agree with that amp.
