As a result I need to copy the update image to both cards in order to update firmware.

I have also tested in 1.1.4 it has the same problem.

Pls fix it.

Or if possible, update can be done if update file exist in either card 1 or 2.

Yes, I also experiencing this, can not update and it is aborted

I am not sure whether because of EXFAT or anything else,

I am sick of trying it again after whole night copying 2 x 60GB files !

Hi, Can you try to play some DSD file like dsf with mojo? Is the mojo light turns to white color? If not, what is the color? Thanks.

You should have a small SD card for updating your firmware instead of merging the firmware with your music SDs, it's a lot easier that way (it's working with fat32 format which seems to be the preferred format for flashing the firmware dap). Just pop all your music cards out and pop your firmware card in (SD1). When finished, move your music cards in. There are three clear advantages doing that, first a smal SD card is very cheap, secondly you don't usually need to do it that often, that is if iBasso does not update their firmware every week. Last, you don't need to wait hours to see a successful result. wink.gif

This is not the Chord Mojo thread. Do you mean what happens if you play DSF on DX80 and connect it to Mojo?

DX80 can't output any DSD via S/PDIF output so it will be silent if you hook it up digitally.

The way I.updated with no.issues was to.just put the img. File on to watever fat32 card you are using, updated the player, then take card out, delete the img. file on your pc, then factory reset dap and you're done!

My only complaint with dx80 is the sluggish ff and rw key response, similar to dx90 you have to wait a couple of seconds before the song skips forward and also ideally in the menu we should have the option of how fast we want it to skip
Please address @Paul
Cheers

I also use FAT32 in both my cards.  (I don't need exFAT since I don't think we will have single music file larger then 4GB, and there is no performance benific in exFAT)

update.img in card2, select Update then system reboot,

the update process look for update.img in card1 instead then update abort.

So, I copy update.img to both cards, update done in this way.

Then connect DX80 as cardreader to computer, delete the update.img in both cards.

Hope that ibasso program the system use multi-thread programming, especially the player program,

it will help the performance a lot.

I don't know the CPU in DX80, but I think it is able to run this way.

It takes approximately 1 second to start the fast forward while skipping to the next song is almost instant. This is to better differentiate between skipping the the next song and fast forwarding or rewind. I will ask the SW team about your request.

So in a sense, what iBasso has done is eliminate the DX50, brought the price down on the successor to the DX90 just to a point where it directly competes with other DAPs under 400 and will roll out a new DX TOTL to compete with DAPs in the 600-700 dollar price point such as the upcoming X7.

I'm really interested to see what the new TOTL iBasso DAP will be like!

I'm really hoping for the Ibasso would release TOTL DAP, cuz i've had the DX90, i have limited funds so i cant be buying DX80 and then DX110 and also I'm contemplating between AK 120 and ibasso TOTL. And i much prefer Ibasso products.

Yeah. But the thing is, iBasso doesn't release information until just a few months of release. So there is no way to know for sure. But if the wish to capitalize on certain parts of the market, they need a better champion than the DX80, as capable as it may be, isn't in the same category as the X7, AK120ii, Calyx M, Plenue M, etc.

I do not agree with you on this. The sound quality of the DX80 is right there, IMO. It is better than my AK100II and competes with the best I have.
