How do you pronounce "tinnitus?" - Page 2

Well guys, tinnitus is a Latin word, and this is the way the great orator Cicero would have pronounced it: "tin-nee-tus". The other form "tin-nye-tus" is a later anglicised adaptation, which I assume to be okay, however not genuine.

Cheers,
Alex

The Old English Dictionary, which is renowned for delving into the history of words, describes the first usage from old German as tin-night’-us.
