Time to sell the HD800. Looking for a change of sound signature, so I'm requiring funds to do so.

Happy to post at buyers expense.

Trades considered - I'm really keen on some Pre-fazor LCD 2.2.

Hi. Just curious about the headphone stand. Not the omega but the other.

Was that local?
What's the brand?
Do you remember how much?
How well do the hd800s sit in that?

Thanks
Peter

Hey Peter, is this the stand you're talking about?

It has a few different brands/names, but mine is "Fischer audio -  the curve" and it houses the HD800 perfectly.

I just personally prefer the Omega.

Yep that was the one. Do you prefer the omega because of the way it looks or how the hd800 sits?

I'm worried they keep the HPs stretched

Nah there's no stretching, they sit perfectly on there.

There is a lot of stigma about "pad squishing" and stuff like that, but I feel that a lot of people who don't own the stand are the loudest about them.

I personally love my omega stand!

HD800 sits happily on both, I just prefer the look of the omega.

So one final question to check. When the hd800s are sitting on the omega stand it isn't as stretched as it would be on the average sized head? No need for it to relax back into a more closed position to help the clamp last longer?

IMHO, Omega stands are much smaller than the average sized head. Especially where the drivers sit.
