Best setup for sennheiser HD 700 | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Hey guys I recently purchased the HD 700 and it has a 6.3mm jack which does not connect in to my soundblaster Z soundcard which has a built in amp, I read investing in a DAC/AMP is the best way to go so what would be the best setup in my situation for wanting the best sound quality on a $100 budget?

Your soundblaster Z might be able to drive your HD 700's just fine, it has an amp built into it. You could just get one of these:http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Adapter-Female-6-3mm-3-5mm/dp/B008JGWY2Y

I think I suggested that same thing (well, the Grado one) on another forum for probably the same OP
