Hi Forum,

I'm considering doing a reshell of my Shure SE530. The original one was sent after a year of use to RMA because the cable sheat broke. They replaced it with a slightly newer SE530 that has no hard memory cable at the headphone end.

Now the rubber rings broke (6yrs later) and I'm using them less and less because I don't want to break them.

I've found a local company that does custom IEMs and reshelling, and the question that triggered the thread is:

How can I measure the components of my IEM?

If I order clear molds I will see the components, but don't know if they are the original ones or not. And if I don't choose the clear finish, it could be even worse.

Any thoughts?
