Hey guys, check out my shiny headphones.  They sound awesome.  Loads of bass!  (Strained attempt to get us back on-topic).
Love that amp you are using, bet your HE1K sings like a muse of old.

That's a fascinating looking combination of headphone and amplifier. Though, just to get us back off topic, I have to ask what those fancy looking tubes are?

Been listening a lot to Josh Redman with the Bad Plus (Pono line out into MicroZOTL into HEK). Really interesting album, but knotty to penetrate but Redman brings something to the Bad Plus sound (the album is more their music than his)...enjoying it on the HEK!

If you enjoy Joshua Redmond's style and sound, check out:

Gene Ammons - Boss Tenor. Classic clean sound from an era when they really knew how to make recordings right.
With Ray Barretto and Tommy Flanagan. Sounds amazing on the 1000's

Have the CD (XRCD), haven't played it through the HEK yet...actually haven't connected it to the main rig yet, mostly in my bedroom from Pono into ZOTL, sometimes pc into Geek Out Special Edition. Speaking of Tommy Flanagan, betting any trio recording of his will sound fabulous through HEK. Have to increase my listening, just been so nice and relaxing the way I've been doing it...

On that note…I was just listening to "Jeremy" from HDTracks Pearl Jam Redux and between the un-overcompressed version, and the speed of the HE1K's...
Rock and Roll is alive and re-living in MTBiker's living room once again

... and just WHERE is @immtbiker HE1000 review with @MacedonianHero and @Frank I ?  He doesn't have TIME to listen to HE1000s!  He has a review to write.

Listening so some live, J. Redman on lossless using Tidal to the Hugo to the micro Zotl to, of course, the HE1000. Very, very nice.

Switched gears the other night, sine rockin' jazz-blues, Oz Not, Twisted Blues V2 (PC/Geek Out Special Edition/HEK), my my my, definitely a pick me up! Now, if I can just clear done space, go from GO SE to MicroZOTL to HEK, that might be really something...
