Hi all,
So after 3.5 years of pumping my Westone 4's through a few thousand hours of listening, they have finally given in and started to fall apart. As sad as this moment is, I am ridiculously excited for a new set.
Ive contacted Westone and they have said that i can "upgrade" my old Westone's to a new model for half of RRP. Is this something that you have heard about before or experienced this service from Westone? My little alarm bells rang at the though of getting a set of W40's for just $250US.
Also, If i am going to send them back, what model should I choose? Im tossing up between the W30 and the W40 ($200 for the W30). I listen mainly to anything Dance/Electro/Dubstep, which never quite matched the Westone 4's sounds, but i was happy nonetheless as the moments i did listen to more relaxed music, it was like an orgasm in my ears. Preferably, I would like a touch more bass though.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
Alex
