Hello all
I have been looking to buy a bass based headphone. My budget is 300$ and I am confused between ath Pro700mk2, v moda m100 and JVC sz2000 ? I do listen to lot of pop and not much of electronic music guy. I would also like to know the difference between ath Pro700mk2 and ath ws99 which is better for everyday use and portability. I don't have an amp or eq as of now. Would I need one to completely enjoy these headphones? I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. thanks.

Try to be patient--you are waiting for someone with specific familiarity with the four cans you mention (I do not have that, as I've only heard the v-moda and am, therefore, of no real help to you).  It may take a little while for the right person to come along. Hang in there...

Thanks. I was lil bit anxious. Like what you said I gotta wait for the right person to answer it.

The M100 is a better all-arrounder than JVC SZ2000 which has more bass emphasize. So if you listen to pop I would get that - I suggest you also get the XL pads for them. I don't know the other two.

Mike (HiFGuy528) reviewed them on his youtube channel. Mike is a very experienced head-fier who also happens to work for Woo Audio.
