Need to replace A900X's - Need Suggestions

Hello everyone. I'm needing to replace my beloved A900X for an open can. The biggest reason is because WAF is sitting at a 0 because she can stand right next to me and I cannot hear the wife at all.

Can ya'll suggest a over the hear headphone Under $200 (used or new) that have the same quality as these headphones but are Open-Cans? I'm looking for a signature that is as close to neutral as I can get since I like to reproduce what was intended and now have to EQ the hell out of what I'm listening to.

Just to check. The AD900X are the open version. Is it that you have the A900X?

Yep... you are correct. I corrected my typo. For some reason, my fingers just want to type AD900X instead of A900X. :)

DT880 are a fairly neutral can that you could consider, assuming you can find them for your price (probably have to be used). The DT880 Pro 250 tend to be the cheapest, but they may require an amp depending on what you plan on using them with.

You can get the ATH-AD900X (open) headphones for $158.40, off eBay, shipped from Japan.

I'd suggest HD600. At their current sale price, they're a steal, and will allow your system to grow without replacing the cans. FWIW, I own both AD900x and A900x.

I was looking at AD900X's for a replacement but I cannot get past the price of those HD600's. Though the HD590 and HD598 are well within my budget.

Traded for some HD565's. Older can but I've heard nothing but good from them and that they are very close to HD600's. Good Trade?

Just as a future reference, the AD900x are not neutral and have a colored sound.  By all means they are good headphones for other purposes like gaming and excel in certain genres of music.
