Looking to get a new pair of in-ears for a female friend. Frankly looks are probably more important to her than sound quality, but I would like to get her something that sounds better than her current in-ears. I want to introduce her to... you know, my world, our head-fi world.

She currently uses some pink Philips earbuds that cost less than $100HKD (which equates to < $13USD). I don't know of the exact model, but this is my best guess: http://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/SHE2100PK_28/in-ear-headphones

Based on my unreliable fashion sense from an engineering student's perspective, I came to the conclusion that metallic red would look good on her. So I have these two candidates so far:
1. Sennheiser CX 3.00 Red

2. Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear G Black

Having read some of the head-fi posts about these in-ears, I figured they probably sound decent for pop music. However, I can't make up my mind of which one to get for her. Would the momentum in-ears sound significantly different for the extra $30? Or should I go with the CX 3.00 and save the money for 2 lunches or 3? Your wisdom is appreciated!

Feel free to recommend more in-ears too! Anything that you think looks good and sounds nice for the price. Metallic red is not a requirement, just a preference that sprang out from my broken fashion sense.

Check out the V Sonic GR07 here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MELYOIW/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1425432614&sr=8-2&pi=SL75&keywords=vsonic+gr07#productDescription_secondary_view_pageState_1425432753685

There are other colors as well. Just make sure you do not pick any GR07 with mk or mk2. AFAIK those are the cut-down quality revisions.

From this update by |joker| (at head-fi) here:

http://theheadphonelist.com/brief-impressions-vsonic-gr07-classic-plus-warning/

The gr07 classic is "98% of the gr07 mk1" (costs $180), although some places are selling the classic as the mk2 for $50+ more, so watch out for that. So the mk1 and mk2 are very slightly better quality but more than $100, watch out for those in regards to price, not quality. Still, the seller for the above link had the gr07 classic for $78, so they might still have that price, though I am not sure about that.

I just checked your location: Vancouver, eh? I could not find any gr07 under $100 CDN, so here are a couple other good in-ears:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B003YKG2UK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1425439986&sr=8-1&keywords=ue600

for a more balanced sound, or:

for a little more fun sound. Both are rated very high by |joker|, especially for their price.

Thanks for your suggestions, the Logitech looks like very good deals!
Unfortunately she doesn't seem to like the looks of them too much...
I spammed her with earphone photos, pretending that I'm getting a new one for myself. She seems to like these white CX 3.00 White a lot:

Since she cares more about looks than sq, I'm afraid I can't go with the recommendations above... Do you however have any recommendations of earphones that have white or pink casing? She seems to like them the best. I would presume that white cases are easier to come by than pink in decent quality earphones :p

Try these, great sound quality and look great as well:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/ol/B001NEIRV6/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=new#./undefined?&_suid=142547262312805027180889155716

$135 CDN, but will match her clothes. Remind her that the cables are detachable, as people have lost one earbud for this model.
