Looking to get a new pair of in-ears for a female friend. Frankly looks are probably more important to her than sound quality, but I would like to get her something that sounds better than her current in-ears. I want to introduce her to... you know, my world, our head-fi world.
She currently uses some pink Philips earbuds that cost less than $100HKD (which equates to < $13USD). I don't know of the exact model, but this is my best guess: http://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/SHE2100PK_28/in-ear-headphones
Based on my unreliable fashion sense from an engineering student's perspective, I came to the conclusion that metallic red would look good on her. So I have these two candidates so far:
1. Sennheiser CX 3.00 Red
2. Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear G Black
Having read some of the head-fi posts about these in-ears, I figured they probably sound decent for pop music. However, I can't make up my mind of which one to get for her. Would the momentum in-ears sound significantly different for the extra $30? Or should I go with the CX 3.00 and save the money for 2 lunches or 3? Your wisdom is appreciated!
Feel free to recommend more in-ears too! Anything that you think looks good and sounds nice for the price. Metallic red is not a requirement, just a preference that sprang out from my broken fashion sense.
