Audeze Robbed of LCD Series Headphones - Page 4

People should look out for suspiciously priced Audeze pairs on non-English forums and markets. No way are they gonna pop-up on Ebay nor Amazon.

^^ That's what I think, too. They're probably headed for East Asia.

Best wishes to Audeze.

Audeze headphones are marketed to a niche market, so the thieves know they cannot sell them at suspicious prices.

If they're smart enough to pull off that heist, they're smart enough to sell them without suspicion.

They might lay low for months until things cool down, and sell them as "dealers" at market price.

You make a good point.

Yes, I worry these are headed for the black market on the other side of the world. Hopefully the stolen merchandise is spotted before it leaves the country.

Hello, no Audeze owner here, but I would like to own a pair, as many probably.

Shouldn't a simple request for the serial # of the headphone, when buying away from the audeze official resellers, be enough to identify the thieves?

Just take it as a donation. I do not think that you are able to trace back those missing headphones.

Improve your security system is the best solution.

Maybe insider?

Regards.

Everyone who played GTA V knows of this ... Steal & lie low until everything has cooled down . Then sell . It's in the gold mission . Remember to invest correctly !

damn, sad news...

I just bought a pair of LCD-3's last week (my very first Audeze purchase) and couldn't be happier.  I'll keep an eye out here in San Diego (craigslist, ebay, etc.) and report anything suspicious.

wow. terrible news. hope Audeze is made whole (or mostly so) through insurance so they can get back to business as usual.

With all due respect to anyone, I think the speculation that this may be an inside job is in poor taste.

Audeze is a small-ish company which has just seen a significant part of their inventory being stolen; if their theft insurance is anything like ours, they will still take a significant financial hit right away and as an added bonus see their premiums heightened for years to come.

An employee goes online online to see what angle is taken on the online forums - only to find several posts basically saying 'An employee or at the very least someone they do business with probably did it.'? Seriously, how would that make you feel?

Maybe I an a tad too thin-skinned on Audeze's behalf, but I would strongly urge everybody to hold their horses, rather than indulging in meaningless speculation.

We can do this. Head-fi has previously helped to bring justice and we can do it again! Audeze is one of the good ones - and we protect our own!

I'd say that inside information does not necessarily mean an employee. Sure that plenty of people have been through the warehouse.

Even with that speculation is not too useful, but isn't that what the Internet is for?

This is really sad to hear. I for one, will keep an eye out for suspiciously cheap Audeze headphones.

Hoping this crime is solved and your stock is returned.

Best of luck.
