Americanized pronunciation is Gray-Doh..........original, Italian pronunciation is Graah (like aah) Doh.
Anyway, I think so.

I always thought it was "Graah-Doh", but I went to a meet and everyone there was pronouncing it "Gray-Doh"...I think I heard that John Grado himself pronounces it "Gray-Doh"

It seems that different people have different ways that they like to pronounce this brand name. But what is the right way?

Grado Labs

When I first called Grado Labs to order the RS-2 headband (so long ago ), John Grado himself answered the phone by saying, "Good morning, Grado Labs." He used a long "A," as if one is pronouncing the letter A - the same "A" used in the word gate or mate. Since Grado is John's last name as well as that of his business, I'm pretty sure he knows how to pronounce it correctly!

I pronounce it in my loudest crow "caw" voice for Gra while waving my arms like wings. I say it twice like a crow then I do the Homer Simpson "Doh!"

Graw Graw Doh!

Sure people look at me funny, but then they leave me alone to listen to my Graw Graw Doh!

I have no idea why you quoted me, so my only guess is you're trying to make fun of me?

I pronounce the a as in bag. grado. That doesn'tmake sence to me for some reason. Graaado. Then again I live on the east coast South of Philly. Maybe that is my accent. Whatever. Say it don't spray it.
