PS: Wasn't it Soundblast than complained earlier in this thread about the fit not being right for both earpieces?  rolleyes.gif

Again,wrong.
What i said earlier was the Encores are perfect but the Custom Art H8P was different on both ears, again that is coz my ears are a little different and the fit is good on those too.they actually look better fit than Encores but are a lot less bassy and I don't use them anymore.
I am assuming Acain is right, maybe my ears have shorter canal and then the silicon needs to stick out more on the outside to accommodate the drivers etc.
I could contact Acs and find out so we all have peace of mind👍

Better?

This is the H8P for a comparison sake.
They do look different, h8p has open mouth impression whilst Encore has closed.
Encore has a lot more silicon on the outside but its a better fit, the fullest isolation , best comfort out of all my 5 ciems and best sound too.
Next is A12 tho😆

Of the 24 years I have been a seriously dedicated audiophile I have rarely encountered a component that has blown my mind the way the Encores are doing it. Things I thought impossible from a portable audio transducer are being done by these unimpressive looking pieces of silicon, these CIEMS are the Benchmark of Musicality on the go and beyond. ACS has definitely set a standard that in my opinion will be very difficult to supersede. I can now stop searching, at least for a number of years, I wouldnt know what more to expect.

I agree wholeheartedly!

They are incredible, the bass sometimes catches me off guard in its impact and purity. The midrange and higher frequencies are also smooth and not harsh in any way. I have not heard any other CIEM, nor do i feel the need to try any more

My STAXs render with similar coherence, layering depth, harmonics, texture and musicality, what I mean with similar is that both satisfy me equally in these aspects. Where the STAXs get the advantage is in transparency, soundstage and spaciousness, but its unfair to compare any CIEM to them. In their own purpose, both my STAXs and the Encores satisfy me to the max! Of course I have been eying the 009's but I cannot seem to justify the price due to the fact that I use my full-size speaker systems more. I havent been able to draw direct comparisons to the others, if I do, I'll write something.

Well, that's certainly the same level of detail and both soundstage are amazing, but the EM32 are much more coherent, realistic, bodied... No doubt that Angies and Layla are excellent IEMs, but knowing JHaudio, that's not the same approach of musicality.

I have never liked JH approach to music, he has been quoted many times saying that their products are rock'n'roll tuned (I hardly listen to rock) and they show, perhaps Layla being the exception (but $2.5K for universals!???!). I owned the JH13's and have tried the 16's and Roxanne's and my ears were never fulfilled. Adding to that, JH has horrible costumer service and their product and marketing approach of more drivers means better is something that speaks a lot about the company's priorities, which I simply dont believe in, nor want to support.

@soundblast75 : yep it's that (post #333)

It all depends on how deep the bowl of your ear is if it is shallow they have to make the shell longer for the drivers. Making them stick out really far i know the custom Roxanne sticks out really far if you have shallow ears and it doesn't look like there seated right but they are.

check out Soren's thread on the linum. You can contact Estron for the low impedance custom prototype super balanced cable. It's around 300eur since it'smade in Danemark at the moment or wait for it to be cheaper once released publicly in mass production from China.

I was looking into balanced cables but they only make them for AK players. I ordered the Centrance Mini M8 then changed my mind because I was unable to find a compatible cable. The stock one is pretty good. I like that there are no protruding sockets and it all goes into the Revio without needing to be removed.

On another note...I initially thought they couldn't sound much better than they did out of my phone but they are simply unbelievable out of the Pure II. What a superb little amp.
