My son loves playschool and yo gabba gabba... the first I understand, the second just amazes me and not in a good way...

On more an audio line, I have recently been really enjoying a new pair of UE6000's... I know that they aren't the highest rated around here and things like the Takstar Pro80's have overtaken them in popularity, but I am really enjoying them. It is one of the best pairs I have had to play music in the background and focus on other things. A really non fatiguing and nice pair... and for $50 (aud) branny new you can't really go too wrong.

And finally, @acain, your headphone stands are simply amazing.

Can only speak for the Havis in comparison to the SE215s... Going a size down in ear tips, I actually get pretty good insertion with the Havis, and find they fit more stably than the SE215s ever did. And the sound doesn't even compare in my book.

He had a very linear and balanced pair, and a warm but still refined and detailed pair that was really impressive. The materials he uses to upgrade the cans is fantastic end game quality stuff. Things like exotic wood for the cups, angled cowhide and lambskin pads. If you're into customized and modded stuff this guy is a genius and his modifications are truly one of a kind. I can imagine just about anyone getting a pair of his cans based on their preference and not feeling the need to get something else for a looooooong time.

If anyone's on Instagram, the ZMF profile is well worth following. Amazingly beautiful, on top of what sounds like amazeballs sound...

It drives me nuts when my ears get hot and sweat with closed cans. I love how light and comfortable they felt too.

Btw, you don't have to break in, just come on over! I have beer for guests! biggrin.gif

Stopped into the Headphone Bar today and tried HE400i, HE560, EL-8 open, and Noble 6.

That's me done for mid-fi, at least cheap mid-fi. Loved the HE400i, found the 560 a touch too boomy, and was blown away by the clean, audiophile sound of the EL-8. The Noble 6 I found jaw-droppingly good... clean, beautifully balanced, and not as big as I thought they'd be from pictures. So, long term goal (for now) is EL-8 and Noble ?? Very impressive day for this little newbie.

Oh, and @x RELIC x, next time I'm in town I'm coming over for one of those beers :L3000:

To be clear, it's not a gender thing. Strawberry Shortcake is just d-u-m-b. Dora's content is fine, but her nasally voice drives me nuts. I guess Doc McStuffins is ok. My wife and I bought both of our boys dolls, a stroller, kitchen set, etc.

My 4yo used to be really into Yo Gabba Gabba. I actually like that show. It's freaking nuts! They've got Biz Markie beat boxing, the lead singer from Devo painting, and all kinds of cool bands. They even had The Flaming Lips on one time L3000.gif

When my older kids were little, I used to watch Thomas The Tank Engine with them. Mr. Conductor was played by Ringo Starr and then George Carlin. What a trip!

There was also a kid's show starring Cheech Marin of Cheech & Chong blink.gif

Jealous, jealous, jealous!!!

So EL-8 over HE400i, eh? I'm curious why. I really like my HE400 and think HE400i looks like a nice upgrade - especially the headband. I just hate the connectors and am considering a connector mod sometime.

I actually don't have one. I've just done targeted browsing from time to time.

Anyone in here like to bake bread? I've been doing it for years. There used to be a nice local Italian restaurant in our neighborhood that had a really dark, crusty bread with chopped-up mission figs mixed in. I've searched the interwebz but haven't been able to find a comparable recipe, and the restaurant has since closed down. Anyone out there had anything similar and have a clue how to replicate it?

They also had and amazing pasta dish. Rotini with roasted fresh figs, Gorgonzola, walnuts, garlic and olive oil. Sounds kinda weird but was absolutely delicious!!!

I really liked the HE400i as well. It's probably a bit more lively than the EL-8, and it would be a close choice between the two. Was surprised to NOT like the 560 more... All of them beat the HP-1 though.
