I was wondering if anyone has this Chinese smartphone, which is supposed to have very good audio components.  More information can be found here:

The amplifier and DAC seem pretty impressive for a mobile phone.  I think this could be a good solution for those like myself who don't want to carry a DAP around for day to day use.  I'm planning to get one once the 64GB version is available and will post a review.

Subbed! I would like to know as well. Just bought the Oneplus One for the very same reason that I do not want to carry a DAP around. Pretty satisfied with the One for the moment as it has the best audio experience in a smartphone that I have ever heard but the MX4 Pro has got me interested.

I'am quite surprised actually that you chose Oneplus One... It has a pretty average output and SQ to be honest.

Really? Maybe you tested a lemon unit? Or I got an opposite of a lemon unit because mine sounds great LOL I even preferred it over my fiio x3 so much that I ended up selling the x3. Over at the Oneplus one impressions Thread a guy preferred his over the x5.  In any case I hope someone comes along with impressions of the MX4 pro.

Found this: http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Meizu-MX4-Pro-Review_id3899/page/3

"We’ll go over the technicalities below, but let us say that if you have good headphones or speakers, you’d be able to enjoy one of the best music quality on a smartphone with the MX4 Pro. With a very loud output, a rich bass that has a fullness not overwhelming the mids, and a crisp highs that reveal vocals nicely, we were able to enjoy various styles of music - from the silky, deep vocals of Iyeoka to the lows of hip-hop bass. We compared the sound from the MX4 Pro with a few flagship devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Apple iPhone 6, and found the iPhone 6 to be the only one in the same ballpark. Apple’s handset has a quieter output, and a very slightly muddier bass, but both are great phones for music lovers."

Looks quite impressive indeed.

I'll definitely do a review when I get mine.  My friend in China was very impressed when he listened to the MX4 Pro recently.  Just wish Meizu would hurry up and release the 64GB version.

^Back in my country, the price is ridiculously reasonable for 64GB. A trade off with non-expandable memory. Nothing much to complain except for the non removable (?) battery.
