I think it will be a stand where the ear cups fall down and are not stressed-stretched apart. That is what they mentioned to me. No date given for release.

Can confirm. If you're thinking of getting a headphone stand, you might want to wait a few months until ours is released. The design solves the major problems with other stands on the market. And I'm extremely proud of the design of this piece.

Really looking forward to it and I hope we get it in the UK at the same time as USA. In the UK we are of course still waiting for the Balanced Cable to be officially distributed.

We British continue to be patient drinking Cups of Tea and politely refraining from fussing about it.

Nice post BearlyPizza. Glad to hear you are enjoying the Nighthawk.

And cool to hear about the developing headphone stand. Look forward to it.

Nice. I'm in line for a stand, too!

Exciting!

If people need something in the short term, I've found the Brainwavz Hengja to be really good because you can hang the headphone by the metal arc and not strain the pads or the elastic part. They're really cheap too!

On other topics, I have recently compared the Hawks with the HD800S. Very interesting experience!

My Nighthawks have been hanging on one of those at my computer desk since they arrived Monday. Happily burning in...over 80 hours so far.  Of course at the moment they are on my head as I type this.  Brian Eno & John Cale - Wrong Way Up is sounding amazing..  An old favorite since 1990.  2am music.

I actually have two of the Brainwavz attached to my computer desk.  The AKG K702s are hanging on the second one.  I worry about the thin elastic bands on those. This seemed like the best solution.

x2

I've been looking for a decent stand for my NightHawk's for awhile now but I've not found a design that seems satisfactory as yet.

Hey everyone. just got mine today. simplay saying, the most strnage-sounding phones I've ever heard.
I know the burn-in should be done first then the assessment, but that sound is so curious I can't take them
off my head.

I hope you will enjoy that curious sound!

I have been enjoying mine as I burn them in (with music from my computer to a dac/amp).  They have been playing for more than 90 hours now.  Monday I will stop the burn in process.   That will be 1 week of burning in.  Each time that I put them on to check one of the songs that is playing I can't take them off my head either.

I love the sound I am hearing.  My experience may be different than some people on this site.  For many years I listened to music on nice speakers that were part of a modest  hi-fi set up in my living room, with extra speakers in the kitchen.  I only used headphones occasionally if I did not want to disturb sleeping children late at night.  In the 80s I had Sony v6 but I never liked them.  So uncomfortable that I don't even remember if they sounded good.  Hated the coiled cord as well.  In the 90's I got my beloved Sennheiser HD 480s which I did enjoy listening to late at night.  Sadly in 2005 the sound kept cutting out on one side and I stupidly threw them away not knowing the cable could be replaced.  When I moved to the UK a year later I left my hi fi system behind.  The people who bought my house got a good deal!  I even left them the LPs!  I still feel sad about the HD480s.

So, back to the Nighthawks.  They just sound right to me.  I don't know if it because I was used to speakers for so many years.  Now everyone is growing up listening to headphones. I still have not taken any of mine out of the house....yet.  I use my DAP with portable amp when I relax in the living room.  My PC setup includes speakers.

I think over recent months I  have finally "learned how " in a sense to listen to headphones... or I should say "listen to music through headphones."   For me, the Nighthawks are great at that.

Nice story! BTW, speaking of taking them around with you, what carry case do you use for them? I REALLY don't want to take the stock
one out with, since it shouts "Steal Me"...

I am sure someone will have ideas for you.  I have only had them for 4 days now!

When I said I had not taken any headphones out of the house yet I did not really mean the Nighthawks would go out.  I don't really plan to take them (or any full size headphone) anywhere.  I don't really have anywhere to take them.  If I do start taking walks with headphones on I will just take my DAP with a portable pair like my Noontec HD Zoro II (wish they did not creak) or Logitech UE4000.

For me, the Nighthawks are way too immersive for me to be safe on the streets ...I would be into the music too much and get hit by a car!  Or robbed!.  Maybe they will  never even go back into their case because they will either be here at my PC or in the living room near the sofa.

Can anyone recommend Headphone stand for the Nighthawks that are best to prolong the Nighthawks shape and fit.

The Woo stands work great for not stressing the headband or putting pressure on the cups. I have three of them, holding 4 sets of 'phones.

Am I missing something?
