Prefer them on Amazon. I'm looking and torn. I don't want to spend alot, I mean, they're earbuds, I plan to use them with a Handheld system, maybe a MP3 player while I'm on the go, I do not need super high fi 100$ ear-buds. I got expensive audio equipment at home for that.

I was looking at:

Anyone else have other suggestions within this range, or thoughts? Anything is better than the speakers the 3DS XL comes with, which sound like a tin can with too-low volume.

I feel the best ones for sound quality and price would be the Monoprices. But for looks and and reliability I would go with the Panasonics. If your going to be on the move like school, walking, running get the panasonics but if you just going to use that lighty go for the monoprice. OVERALL get the Monoprices.

i've got the monoprice one for some time. they sound alright but the cable gets tangled really easily. It takes me like 3 minutes to untangle them when I pull them out from my pocket
BTW i got mine for 4 pounds in amazon uk

I hear the default tips aren't good. I just got it and comes with some, but I can't really tell, I hear the sound-stage becomes better with others, but the tips, what tips? Comply T-400 I hear, abut spend what? 12-16$ just for tips? The same price as the Earphones?

I did just try these with my Kindle because I got nothing else that accepts 3.5mm. They sound pretty snazzy. Tried playing some high quality FLacs that I converted to MP3 for it and the details are all there, with no burn in. I mean it's not as good as a 200-300$ pair of headphones or my speakers, but for 12$, I really can't bitch. It hits the instruments well. Actually kinda surprised there's bass in earbuds.  Plus I can make out lows that sometimes I've even struggled with on some pricey headphones. I can see why these things get praise.  Awkward way to wear them. Mostly Japanese music, K-pop styled stuff, because to me, that stuff has a huge mix of lows, highs, meds, ectera, so if I can pick out details in those with these, what a great buy.  Also I am adjusting to ahving them in my ears and while I closed my eyes and got into the music, even stopped feeling them in, which is unusual, as most ear-buds I usually can't pull out and in.  Also, how do you wear these things? I can see like three ways to wear them and several google pictures show them all different kinds of ways.

You are also incredible right about getting tangled lol.

Assuming you can go one or two dollars over budget, I would recommend the MEElectronics M6 earphones. They're currently $16.59 on Amazon - and a complete steal in my opinion.

For me, when I'm out and about, I need an earphone that gives me near-studio sound quality. I use the KRK 8" studio monitors in studio, so I'm used to good sound. The MEElectronics give me that sound, plus they feel great and comfy in my ear, and don't fall out! In my opinion these should be priced much higher for what they give you, but of course they're right near your budget - give them a look!

Feels weird wearing them over-ear as well, like, cause the braiding. Never seen ear-buds like this. Confusing.

You would think so, but actually it's the opposite. Once you lock them into place in your ear, you forget they're even there. When comparing the comfort to any other earphone (that either goes straight down or over the ear) I haven't found anything that fits better.
