Sik cable: what is it/how do I use it?

I have looked at this thing online and read much about it in other posts and forums, but I can't tell whether it's just another docking/recharge option for my new Ipod 40G or whether it will allow me to have better sound from my Go Vibe amp and Senn PX200/280 Pro phones? I am looking at the "DIN" model, which I have read provides a true line out from the Pod without having to use the dock. But do I have to plug my phones into the output jack on the Din cable? That socket looks like a headphone socket, not an RCA or mini plug socket. So how do I connect the Din cable to my Go Vibe, that has a mini-jack input? I was going to use a mini to mini cable between Pod and Go Vibe, but perhaps the Sik would be better, if I knew how I was going to connect everything.
I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks.

Here is another line-out device that I had not seen before.

Dr. Bott is selling some of these products if you don't want to order overseas. I thought the pics of the various products were better on this site.

The socket on the Din is just a regular stereo minijack, just like the headphone jack is. The connection would be:

iPod -> Din -> mini-to-mini cable -> Vibe -> headphones

And yes, it will give you slightly better sound to use the iPod's true line out, because you bypass all the attenuator electronics on the headphone output stage (or such is my understanding of why--I know it sounds better, though). Then you just use the volume control on your Vibe.

Actually, several of us went in on a buy for a very small, simple mini-to-mini right-angle connector to replace the cable, since the Din cable is itself long enough. See this thread: http://www5.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=76142 or PM to etys rule for more info.

Thanks for the clarifications! I just bought one online and checked with Etysrule to see if that little connector thing is still available.

i looked in rat shack and couldn't find any mini cables. are 1/8" stereo phone plugs the same as Mini plugs? if so i think i have a rat shack cable at home already, i would just have to buy a 1/8 to 1/4 stereo phone plug adapter for 5 bucks. just getting ready for when my Sik Imp comes in the mail. since i joined head-fi it seems like i'm always waiting for something in the mail...

Is there any place that sells the Sik Din or the Sendstation Pocketdock Line Out for cheaper? I need to get one in place of my dock for when I want to stuff things into a smaller bag, and I've yet to find the Sik for cheaper than around $22 and the Pocketdock w/ Line Out for cheaper than $29.95....

i searched like mad and couldnt find anywhere cheaper than the official website. the good thing is that the 1-5 day shipping costs under 5 bucks, and there is no sales tax/charge.
