choosing the right interconnect ..long first experience post.

HI to everryone interested in interconnect , I'm a very first exp. noob
trying changing interconnect .

I've been really how much changing cables can change the reproduction of music ( really a lot to me ) ( I've been asking my self many times why cables could be priced so high and why there were so many around - till now )

I lastly went from 10$ IC to 30$ IC ( significal improvement: midrange appeared in my system ) then to some jenving 110 ohm supra dac IC ( paid 90 $ for these ) and the sound changed so much , much more then my last change of head-amp ..

It's incredible how much the sound is changing with them. I didn't think changing cables could get such a difference , I'm not sure about quality of the Jenving IC I stumbled casually in and i decided to grab ( i grab them only becuase it was a rainy day , i recently got a Zu Mobius cable for senn hd650 and so... i had to spend my last remainings - as i saw them in a shop i entered and just took them to try my pioneer source+Rudistor Rp5 amp with them )
So I don't know wheter to rely on this cables or not ( i don't even know if i like what i hear from them ) truething that they add some extras to my prev. listening exp. and also something is VERY different in the sound presentation .
I can appreciate extras mostly on well recorded music - well something i thought was VERY well recorded now isn't more so well recorded to my ears .. too much background noise ..
extras are details , but they are extradetails ( i'm not even sure i like to ear them , i was happy sometimes to hear some extra rumors listening to an orchestra who should only give out music , now I'm earing on some Decca recordings the tapping of the fingers on flutes and brasses by players - I'm not joking )

What's changed the most is the tonal balance , the music feeling is is very airy ( and this is the best thing for me ) , while i lost some of "the whole" presence - and this fact it's a bad thing since it makes me miss more then little the sense of some classical music I listen to ...i'd say I've lost some base with these cables in favor of extradetails .some little details make the orchestra very "alive" - but problem is too much i get distant from the line of music itself - this is also due to the extradynamics

in fact what i also noticed with the new jenving cables it's that the dynamic spread is increased . It is enourmously increased ...veryvery low too veryvery high , make me wanting to adjust volume every change of movement of the piano concerto I'm listening - it's quite hurting becuase it's un-natural ( I sometimes go to listen to some live camera and orchestra , dynamics are surely not so extra-wide ranging )

the tonal balance changed so much that now with the new cables i don't know if I am pleased or if i prefer the 30$ IC i had before in my system ...
..quality is improved so much i feel rumors and nuances in the music that seem to come from near me , my home , my garden -i sometimes find my head turning to see if someone's doing something around me (clearly nothing happen )

to conclude - I got new IC cables I will try to get used to for they changed quite a lot my listening ; I feel I've been lucky to discover how much cables can interact with other equipment and how much air and details this change can apport to orchestral works , this impressed me a lot .

I feel I'd like to try cables that don't make me miss the main musical sense of the orchestra works I listen to .
It's ok for me to listen to every instrument and micro details , but i'd like to keep the whole music sense togheter .
I am definitely in love with the incredible sense of air my system gained from the new cables and with the ultra detailed stage ,but I would just prefer a little more coherent whole and full base presentation for lacking of soime bass tones make me loose the general line and sense of orchestra works - and that's probably why I'm getting back listening with the 30$ IC )

So what I'm asking is to give me some details and advice on IC to get
I don't want to spend a lot , just like to get some nice IC without trying a lot of them

I know i've probably described some obvious things , didn't want to annoy , it's just been such a change for me ...

I'm also asking because the search is down ...
thanks

Let those new cables get some time on them before judging them completely.
I just received some new cables yesterday. Zu Gede. When I first connected them, I thought I had just wasted $146, they were all congested sounding compared to Audioquest Coral. Today, after almost 20 hours on them, they are starting to be more airy than the Corals.

As for picking cables, I can't offer much help. I try to find something that is either well reviewed or just seems like it should be good. Usually what seems like it should be good is better priced than the well reviewed, so I go for the better price. My Audioquest Coral was recommended by a friend. I got those and then stepped up the line to the Viper model, which didn't seem to be an improvement. Now I am trying the Zu Gede. I also have Nordost Solar Wind that works well in the bedroom rig, but sounds digital and tizzy in the main rig.
When the search is working, you will be able to find more opinions on more cables than you can shake a stick at.
