Best amp for V-Moda m100

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a nice amp for my m100! I would like to spend about 200 Eur (or less for sure). I'm not an audiophil, so I don't need a DAC. I would like to have a slight bass boost and I will be using it mostly with my mac book pro retina and sometimes with my iphone 6. So.. any suggestions? p.s. it would be nice if the amp would be available in germany, or EU at least!

Thanks in advance!

Does it need to be portable (have a battery)?

Technically the Macbook Pro and iPhone have more then enough power to drive the V-Moda M100 headphones.

Would a low impedance headphone amplifier improve the audio quality?

A FiiO E17 DAC/Amp could be used with the Macbook Pro and iPhone (amp only with iPhone).

A FiiO E11K headphone amplifier would also work with both Macbook and iPhone.

Not really.. It would be better. I guess Digizoid zo 2.3 would fit me perfectly, but sadly its impossible to get one.

Yea, MacBook and iPhone got enough power.. The thing is, I was able to set up a system wide EQ on Mavericks and once I've finished with my EQ (just a bit more Bass etc) I was amazed. Same thing with Windows. I had Windows on the SAME mac and It had noticeably more Bass although it's the same Mac? I was also thinking about the new Digizoid but is it worth the money..? So expensive!

I had the Fiio E17 some years ago. I had it with the Sony MDR-1R and I could hear a hiss/noise that annoyed me so I've sent the Fiio back. Fiio E11K looks interesting indeed, but most people write that the bass boost is very marginal? That is my main wish. A little bit better quality and some Bass without distortion..

Pix...sorry for adding to your post..

Like to clarify!!!

What’s the difference between bass boost from the AMP vs the one generated by software like Viper in the android?

In theory, the hardware shall not bleed, but is it the same case with software generation?

Because I too have M100 and I enjoy the bass depth with Viper in my S4 !!!!

Np :) I can't answer you the question, but I've heard a lot from DigiZoid's "smart vector" and bass boost without adding any distortion or "muddish" (can I say that? lol) sound. I'm really interested in the new DigiZoid.. Hm :/
