Hi guys/gals Been looking at these and ath-ad700x are suppose to be great for gaming, and these I can get for $152 cad and was wondering if they would work with xoner--dg with built in headphone amp. Or if someone can reccomend headphones/headset in this range that are better. Need something for gaming mostly and something that will fit bigger head. I was also looking at ATH-ADG1 High-Fidelity Gaming Headset.

thx.

They'd work with the Xonar DG just fine.  The ADG-1 is just an AD700X with a mic and a ridiculous price, although I think the mic is supposed to be really good?  For gaming there probably won't be much of a difference between any of them.

The Xonar DG will easily drive the 40-Ohm ATH-AD900X headphones, go for it.

Great.

How would the Shure SRH1440 compare to the ATH-AD900X, both are about same size. Few movies and such mostly for PC gaming. Which would be better buy.

thx guys.

I went ahead and got the ATH-AD900X and the HD598 on amazon special for $130 shipped cad all in. Gonna test and see which I like best.
