What materials would you use for your dream IC build and why??

I'd put magic mushrooms in the mix somewhere. That way it would really make a difference.

hmm.. cardas solder would be a nice start.

Human brain seems to be good for electrical signals... I'd use that.

A properly sheilded cable that had a good solder connection at both ends and connectors that did not slip off of the plug.

Dream connector, but still grounded in practical reality? hmm...

Probably Outokumpu 6 nines Upcast copper meant for super conducting applications like particle accelerators.

If it's good enough to pass the quantum mechanics requirements of particle accelerators, I think it's good enough for me

As for geometry, that's a little tricky.

Perhaps twisted for reduced EMI susceptibility.

For dielectric, someting like Eccostock PP (lower dissipation, lower dielectric constant than teflon)

Shielding is a bit of a problem. You put a shield, you get less RFI, but get more capacitance, which people claim is detrimental to sound.

Something like the above could be a starting point.

As long as we're disregarding the potential pratical/educational uses of this thread, lets not forget naked chicks. I hear they're better then those porcalin cups for isolating cables.

i dont care about the conductor, but i'd like it to have really shiny connectors and a wicked cool jacket, maybe yellow.

I'd like one built and fitted by Seven of Nine from ST Voyager. It would of course be wireless, have Borg nanotechnolgy and have a range of several lightyears.
