From what I can tell, 3.22b and 3.24b both sound a little better that 3.0. The treble seems to be a bit more sharp and clear to me.

I was also wondering if any one else notice that the EQ didn't work on 92k,192k and DSD files with

beta 3.24

Apparently on the X5 the eq is limited to 48khz files due to processor demand. Imagine the x3 is the same.

OK, Thanks

It is good to update to 3.24 in many aspects for sure

I have just tried out 3.24b again. It was saying the battery was at 78% while it was on charge even though the green light was on. It had been charging for simply ages so thought it was full since the green light was on. I have now gone back to 3.22b and all 5 bars on the battery logo are showing. It now makes sense.

On 3.24b the battery indicator simply wasn't accurate enough for me. Everything else was fine though.

and also it is about +\- 6 ..i can understand if the notch on the slider moves 6 moves up and down or even 3 (2db per step )

it will be much reasonable that way instead of that much of ineffective steps.

also if there be a short cut to the eq presets or (eq : on-off) in the quick menu

There's a reason for that I think..probably to prevent peaking. It's better to remove than to add volume. It's necessary because when you EQ you will almost always set gain to certain frequencies.

Did the battery gauge on 3.24b count down to zero in a linear manner before the unit shutting down though?

I am using jet audio plus with 20 band graphic equalizer and doesn't do that as same as the old eq of old sony walkman player ... As many devices do that without any loss of the quality except on device had the same eq characteristics is my old creative mp3 player ! biggrin.gif

Before I tried 3.24b again today, I was on 3.22b and the battery was showing 3/5 bars. I then went to 3.24b and it said 42%. I left it on charge until the green light on the unit came on. It only said 78%. I then went back to 3.22 and the battery indicator had 5/5 bars. I wasn't on 3.24 for very long. Maybe it needs to run down all the way and then charge it.

I have the same issue, but I notice that when I charge it with my usb wall plug it doesn't charge too 100% (74% to 84%) but when I charge it with my computer it goes to 100%.

The battery percentage function in this beta version firmware needs to be fixed :(, and our engineers keep debugging it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

For me, it doesn't indicate the percentage correctly when it gets charged with a 1 or 2a charger. I mainly charge my X3 with my portable charger which has both a 1 and 2a output. I don't normally use a PC USB as it is only 0.5a and it takes ages. The fastest way that I charge the X3 is from my 2.1a wall charger. I will stick with FW 3.22 as it seems to be more accurate.

Just try to pin point the issue and glad to see the player is still under close attention.

I love the equalizer. Does anybody know when a new stable firmware be available? I know there is a lot of things to iron out, but would like to know. Some of suggestions would be better themes, easier navigation.
