I'm looking to get an amp for my tablet...are there some that are better for Android devices?

I'm a total newcomer to amps etc.

I was thinking of getting the FiiO E07K Andes...would that be a poor decision?

I'm far from a expert on this stuff (DAC with tablets), so my knowledge might not be the most up to date.

Smart phones (and tablets?) normally do not get much support for working with external USB DACs

Smaller portable sized USB DACs are usually powered by whatever source the USB is connected to, so you would just end up draining the smartphones/tablet battery a lot faster.

So USB DACs are not something smartphone/tablet makers want to support and It cost them money to add features like USB DAC support to a smartphone/tablet.

The E07K is battery powered, but there is not support for working with smartphones/tablets.

I guess the FiiO E18 is designed for use with a few smartphones, but will it work with a Galaxy tablet 3?

Using a FiiO E11K is a no brainier for working with a lot of stuff.
